Weekly Update

WiseGuys,

I hope everyone has had a blast as we enter the last weeks of the regular season. Since it's the night before Thanksgiving, I would like to take a moment and let you know that I am thankful for each and everyone of you. WiseGuys would not be the best damn fantasy football league without you, so thank you from my family to yours. I would love to trade some family recipes with you, but that would probably get vetoed lol.

Playoffs - Whether you are in the Elite Eight or the Pour Four, it would behoove you to win every game. Obviously if you are in the Elite Eight, there is money on the line, but most importantly bragging rights. If you are in the Pour Four, the reason you want to win every game is to get more lottery balls to get first pick. If you get first place in the Pour Four, you get four balls in the lottery. If you get second place in the Pour Four, you get three balls. Just in case you are not following, here is a break out for the Lottery System for the Pour Four:

1st Place - Four Balls
2nd Place - Three Balls
3rd Place - Two Balls
4th Place - One Ball

The lottery will take place on Draft Day before the start of the Draft. Anyone who is in the Elite Eight will obviously not be in the Lottery, but you will know where you are in terms of Draft Pick after the 2019 WiseGuy Championship.

The King of the hill this week is Mike B. putting up 146 points and the player of the week is Lamar Jackson putting up 45 points owned by Mike B. The match up of the week is pretty much everyone who is trying to make a last minute playoff push or for playoff positioning.

Please note, there will be three games tomorrow, please make sure you update your rosters accordingly. Also, I will make the big announcement this Sunday night during halftime.

May the force be with you all,
Commissioner

Weekly Update

WiseGuys,

Most of you know by now, but if you live under a rock, WiseGuys will be part of the Disney Plus Package starting December 1st, 2019. I will provide additional details as to what this means at halftime of the Patriots versus Texans Sunday night game. You may ask yourself, why is the Commissioner waiting until the Sunday night halftime show? Glad you asked, when I met with Bob Iger this week, he made it clear to me that when you make an announcement and provide a specific time, it draws the most people in.This process is what he has been doing for many years with Star Wars, Marvel, and any new Disney movie trailer. During my meeting with Bob, yes we are on a first name basis, he originally wanted to buy WiseGuys for 250 million dollars, but I turned it down. All I can think about was Billy Beane when he made the decision to turn down the Boston Red Sox to stay with the Athletics. His famous quote as to why he turned them down is, "I made one decision in my life based on money. And I swore I would never do it again." Bob really wanted the Disney Brand to be associated with WiseGuys. After continuous conversation with Bob, I then made the executive decision to partner with Disney in their plus package. The deal between WiseGuys and Disney is silent. Main reason because all you vultures are quick to cash in, cash out, explore investment opportunities in XFL, preferred stock options, fair share option of 8% (I get 12%), a portion of Disney, millennial mentality and entitlement, 20% equity, 10% royalties, 2% royalties and a chance to meet Zendaya. I think I covered the damn wish list, but if I did not I am sorry. There are only two weeks left of the regular season and at this point in time this is the playoff picture:

Declans Mafia #8 versus The Undisputed Era #1
Darth Nemesis #5 versus Future Champ #4
Krusty Krew #6 versus NastyVille NASTY #3
Saquon These Nuts #7 and Team Roberts #2

Outside looking in: Action Jackson #9, Humongous Melonheads #10, Me and MaHomies #11, and Uncle Rico's Nephew #12.

Now this is a snapshot and things can change in these next two weeks, so don't get complacent and put your best players on the field. If you need to make a trade to get an edge, then do it asap! The trade deadline is November 29th at 2:00am central time. Victor it was a pleasure doing battle with you, but better luck next time. Just to give you a visual, I feel like Joker coming down the stairs with Rock 'n' Roll by Gary Glitter playing in the background. Well, well, well, Mike B. decided to finally play this week, but Lamar Jackson still wants out of your organization. Aldo, there are two weeks left and you can potentially miss out of the playoffs with a loss. Hector, you cannot afford to lose at all these two weeks. Hector, I have a question for you, if you miss the playoffs does your merchandise go on clearance? Michael M. you sit at the 8th spot and you are solely responsible for your own future. Eric, I know you lost, but Aaron Rodgers is coming back after a bye week. I predict Eric will have 150 points every week here on out. Tony, awesome win against Eric, and your win streak is now at four in a row. Jim, you and the Chicago Bears have the same chance of making the playoffs. You got this! Pedro, oh Pedro, 83 points are not going to cut it going forward. "Gotta pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers in this racket" (Mark Hannah). Alan, for another week you remain in 1st place. Keep it up playboy! Manny, thy brother, you are sitting at 7th place and like so many others you can not afford a loss these next two weeks. King of the week is, wait, what?!?!?! Is this right?!?! Mike B with 151 points this week. The player of the week is a tie between J. Allen (39 points) owned by Tony and L.Jackson (39 points) owned by Mike B. The match up of the week is between Hector versus Mike B. They are both 4-7 and whoever loses is not making the playoffs.

Please note, since the Chicago Bears are no longer in playoff contention. I don't foresee a WiseGuys outing going down December 5th.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

May the force be with you always,
Commissioner

Weekly Update

What an amazing week 10, especially with the Monday night game going down to the wire for many owners. The one that stood out to me most was the game between Jim and Alan. Alan thought he had the win in the bag before Monday's night game, but Jim had another thing coming for him. Jim was only down by 40 points with Coleman and the 49ers defense. Jim gathered his team and gave a phenomenal pre-game quote that he took from Muhammad Ali:

"It isn't the mountain ahead to climb that wears you out; it's the pebble in your shoe."

After he gave this quote, he took his team out on the field and did the same pregame routine like the Titans in "Remember Titans". Jim came storming back, but fell short by 5 points because Coleman decided to punch out before overtime. My brother Manny started strong against thy older brother, but lost by five points and will have to bend thy knee to thy older brother (Robb Stark voice). Mike B. after your loss this past weekend, I heard Lamar Jackson threw a chair at you during a post game interview. He is frustrated being part of your 3-7 team and would like to leave your organization. Mike M. awesome job for being the better Mike this weekend. I was always confused between the two Mikes, but now there is only Winner Mike and Loser Mike going forward. Tony pulled out another win this week and has extended his win streak to 3 in a row (currently the highest streak). Aldo, I dropped Robby Anderson for a reason and now I feel like I contributed to your loss........not!!! Victor, awesome freaking job!!! Victor, the playoffs are 3 weeks away and I know the saying is better late than never, but never late is better. Victor, I hope you make that 8th spot. Hector what is going on, you are currently sitting at 9th, do you want to go to the playoffs?!?! Oh, you do, well your analysis on your players needs to improve. Hector left points on his bench. Like Kanye West kinda says, they say fantasy football starts on Thursday, but the strong start on Wednesday. Pedro you crushed it this week!!! Pedro I am not sure if you are superstitious or not, but I would not change your underwear at all after that win. I personally am not superstitious, but I'm a little 'stitious. Eric, you did your best against Pedro, but you are now in 2nd place overall. With this loss, you have been dethroned by Alan who now sits on top of the throne. I am rooting for you Eric, don't go chasing waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to.

The King of the hill is Pedro, who as I previously stated put up 168 points. The player of the week is the disgruntled Lamar Jackson with 38 points owned (for now) Mike B. The match up of the week is between Hector (8th) and Mike M (9th), may the best team win.

I don't say it enough, but I really do appreciate everyone's activity on GroupMe throughout the week, during games, or at 6 o'clock in the morning during a morning dump. As always, WiseGuys is about the people and not one individual person (me).

May the force be with you always,
 Commissioner
